Generally, the WLCalendar in WLMail will successfully synch when an Event is created or edited. >Avoid switching to the Calendar UI too often (or at all), or leave it open (or use your Internet browser to interact with WLCalendar). >To check for new feeds, allow automatic feed updating (Tools->Manage feeds.->) or go to the Feeds UI and use the 'Sync' button on the Toolbar (or use F5). >To check for new news posts, go to the Newsgroups UI and use the 'Headers' or 'Sync' button on the Toolbar (or use F5). >To check for new e-mail, go to the Mail UI and use the 'Sync' button on the Toolbar (or use F5).

>Do not use the 'Sync Everything' feature (Ctrl+F5). >Tools->Options.->General -> 'Send and receive messages at startup'-> 'Check for new messages every 'n' minute(s)' If you still want to/need to sign in, the workaround is to check for messages manually: You can (brace yourself) copy->paste your WLContacts 'DBStore' to your Default Contacts 'DBStore'*, and your WLCalendar 'DBStore' to your Default Calendar 'DBStore'** (these procedures will entirely replace the Default Contacts Store and Default Calendar Store). You will also lose some other Windows Live features (see: Help->'Do I need to sign in to use Windows Live Mail?'). However, by doing that you will not have access to your Windows Live Contacts or Windows Live Calendar within WLMail. Tools->Options.->Connection ->Connecting to Windows Live services ->Stop signing in You could stop signing into Windows Live in WLMail: You can simply put up with it until MS resolves the problem, or try some workarounds.

Microsoft is working to increase the server capacity, but it will take some time. They are hitting capacity limits on their servers, which is causing high CPU usage for a few minutes followed by sync failure when the calendar tries to sync with Windows Live. This is a known issue that Microsoft is working on.
